Catholic School Principals’ Conference Opens in Nairobi

conf1A national conference bringing together Principals of Catholic High Schools in Kenya has started at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) in Langata.

The 3-day (12th August-14th August, 2014) conference is bringing together over 700 participants from around the country. In addition to the principals, other groups represented at the conference include Diocesan Education Secretaries and Religious Education Advisors.

sgsThe Catholic University of Eastern Africa’s School of Graduate Studies was established in October 2013.  It serves the Ecclesiastical Faculty of Theology, the Faculties of Arts and Social Sciences, Commerce, Science, Education and Law, the Institutes of Canon Law and Regional Integration and Development, the Centre for social Justice and Ethics, and the School of Professional Development.

CUEA’S 29TH GRADUATION CEREMONY

29thgraduationThe Catholic University of Eastern Africa held its 29th Graduation ceremony at its Lang’ata Campus on 23rd May 2014. The theme of the graduation was “Education for transformative leadership in Africa”. 597 graduands were bestowed with Doctorate, Graduate, and Undergraduate Degrees in various fields. Diplomas and Certificates in various fields were also awarded.

THE FINALIST DINNER 2014

The Catholic University of Eastern Africa class of 2013/2014 held their finalist dinner on 26th April 2014 at the Panari Hotel. The purpose of the dinner was to bring together all finalists and give thanks to God for their presence and good life at the University.

The Deputy Dean of Students Sr. Dr. Lucy Kamaro said that it was the time to appreciate talents in diversity so as to make the world a better place to live in as diversity makes the world beautiful.

‘‘It is not because of our favor to be at the Catholic University but Gods, therefore, it is the moment to thank God.” said Mr. Maina the Dean of Students. For your future, he said, it is also important to understand your history and by doing so that you should know the choices and decisions to make in life. The greatest challenge in life is not success but humility you have.”
