CUEA Youth Invited to Say Daily Rosary in Preparation for Pope’s Visit

pope-francisThe University Chaplain, Rev. Dr. Charles Kyallo has extended an invite from Kenyan Bishops to pray for Pope Francis’s visit.

The Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) pastoral department, on October 27, invited young people to get involved in the preparation for the coming of the Pope to Kenya through prayer and other logistic preparations.

“One of the ways to prepare the young people is through prayer,” read a statement by KCCB pastoral department which has established a Mobilization Committee aimed at reaching as many people as possible.

The committee, headed by Bishop Anthony Muheria, has developed a WhatsApp link to invite young people to say a rosary daily for the intentions of the Holy Father.

“Any time one prays the rosary he should indicate it through this link,” said the statement adding, the link has a counter that will enable organizers to know how many intentions have been offered for the pope and it will guide them on how they can get connected with the rest of the young people in the country.

Young people in formation are also being invited to participate and are also being invited to invite other young people both in schools (secondary, colleges, universities, technical institutes) and out of school to pray a rosary each day.

“They can do it individually but also as a group,” said the statement.

During his visit to Kenya Pope Francis is expected meet young people at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani where approximately 200,000 youth are expected to attend.

According to the statement, Bishop Muheria will tell the Holy Father the number of Rosaries the young people in Kenya will have offered for his intentions.

Fr. Kyallo also notifies young people who have volunteered to serve in various ways that they will be communicated to in due course.
