CUEA’s Nairobi City Campus undertook its first Community Service on 29th March 2014 at the Missionaries of Charity, Home of Peace, Kasarani. Staff, faculty and students from the Nairobi City Campus distributed foodstuff, clothing and assisted in folding of clean clothes, preparation of food, cutting firewood and feeding the patients.

Rev. Dr. Fr. Peter Mbaro, Director, Nairobi City Campus, commended the Missionaries of Charity, Kasarani for the good work they are doing to extend the kingdom of God to the needy in the society. He stated that this was a transformational activity for members of the Nairobi City Campus, some of whom had taken part in a Community Service activity for the very first time.

Sr. Jane Maria, one of the directors at the Missionaries of Charity, Kasarani remarked that although most of the patients could not speak, they saw and understood what had taken place and were grateful. Sr. Maria thanked CUEA’s Nairobi City Campus for their initiative to respond to the needs of the vulnerable in the society and welcomed them again in future.
