Since the start of the programme in 2004, more than 60 Kenyan students have been selected for Erasmus Mundus Scholarships. In 2014, 138 Masters Courses and 42 Joint Doctorates will offer: over 1,500 Masters Scholarships, 300 Doctoral fellowships, and 450 Scholar scholarships to successful applicants.

Speaking to the CUEA students’ staff and alumni, the Erasmus Mundus Alumni present encouraged the CUEA community to apply for and benefit from the scholarships, and challenged CUEA to join the Consortium of Universities under the Erasmus Mundus programme. Erasmus Mundus offers; scholarships for excellent students and researchers to follow an Erasmus Mundus Masters Course or Joint Doctorate at two or more European universities; top-quality Master’s and Doctoral courses in a broad variety of disciplines; scholarships to promote the exchange of students between European and non-European universities and a scheme open to students throughout the world.

Students are awarded scholarships through a rigorous and competitive selection process. Each Student can submit a maximum of three applications, each time the intake is open for scholarships, in any of the courses on offer in the European member universities. Interested students can apply by going to the Erasmus Mundus website: Select “Funding & scholarships - for students and academics” Clink on the link to: Erasmus Mundus Masters Courses (EMMCs) or Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorates (EMJDs).
